“Am I going to start having visions?” Her stomach muscles clenched uncomfortably.
“Most likely not. Different people make different wishes, and the Firebird could theoretically spit anything back out at you. I don’t know what you wished for, but you must have been pretty serious about it to end up with a result like that.”
Phoebe rubbed the hand that the tendrils had sunk into. “No, I can’t do this. I really can’t,” her mouth felt dry as she scrambled for words, “I think I’m going to be sick, excuse me.” She broke away from the group, heading towards a stand of trees in the distance. Her head was pounding now and she hoped that she’d at least make it to the woods before throwing up. The nausea had come on quickly- no doubt because of what that man had shown her, she thought. At least it was a good excuse to escape.
“You probably should have shown her the bottom of the ocean,” Julia told Cat. “Not the one where she kills herself.”
“I wasn’t trying to kill myself!” Phoebe snapped from afar.

Whenever I think of a way to strengthen Kata's story, it makes me wish I could just have the whole thing completed with the snap of a finger. I'm like "I love this idea! Too bad it'll be another few years before I get to show anyone!"
Also, I've been a little worn out lately, and I definitely spent some of my Katabasis-drawing hours slacking off to read. But at the same time I think it's important to pause sometimes and indulge in another person's work. Today I feel more energetic.
